Develop your own experimental typeface
Solution
I produced an experimental typeface called Circuit, inspired by continuous line drawings and string art.
Circuit is an experimental display typeface composed of capital letterforms. It is inspired by continuous line drawings, and the way the lines intersect to create patterns and shapes. Different line weights are used within each letter to create intricate patterns while maintaining a lightness and simplicity in the overall design.
The typeface is unique in its balance of softness and structure, created by the use of angular lines and a strict grid system, combined with rounded corners and a hand-drawn style.
The name circuit was inspired by the way the lines in the letters intersect, giving the appearance of a circuit board.
